InsertBible
Written by Michael Stead

InsertBible is a series of MS Word macros for biblical scholars to use to insert original language texts into a word document.  It uses unicode fonts, and works best with MS Word 2003.  It may also run on Word 2002 (i.e. Office XP), but may require an extra step to get Hebrew fonts displaying correctly.  As yet, there is no version for Mac.

The current version is Version 2.0 (Released 25 July 2007).

The core functions of InsertBible are accessed from the following form.

Once a Bible reference is entered, the text(s) are inserted into MS Word in the requested format. E.g.,

InsertBible was written by Michael Stead, and is offer as freeware, with no warranties express or implied.  InsertBible is a spin off from a search engine for Biblical Hebrew (called BibleCrawler) which I wrote for the purposes of my Doctoral research.

HOW DO I GET IT?

InsertBible is free... BUT it relies on texts covered by a CCAT licence.  In order to access this, I am required to ensure that a user signs and faxes a CCAT declaration.  The only way that I can regulate this is to require users to register to get access to the software, and make the CCAT declaration part of the registration process.  Please note: The CCAT licence must be faxed or posted - there is no way to email it.

Bottom line - If you want access to InsertBible, you must register first as a user (Use the sign-in menu to the left, and register as a new user.  In order to complete this process, you have to complete the CCAT form , and then declare that you have done so.)
